I have a home remedy that will amaze you, a help for acid reflux sufferers. Acid Reflux is the back flow of stomach acid into the esophagus and possibly the throat and nose.If you suffer from this, I am sure you will love anything that is inexpensive and will help.
This home remedy, that I’ve found, may work for you. The secret is Kosher Dill Pickles, it must be Kosher Dills, though! The way it works is, you suck the juice out of the pickle and then eat the pickle. Do this always when you first feel the acid, not once it is bad. Also, if you suffer from acid at night, try it before you go to sleep and it will keep the acid from coming up while you are in the bed. Try it several times during the day and it can keep you from having any acid reflux.
Before I tried this, nothing worked, not even medications. I would end up trying to sleep sitting up in the bed, because the acid comes up worse when you lie down. I go through, let’s just say, a few pickles a day but it really does work. I don’t know how I figured this out, other than I love to eat pickles. It seems like it wouldn’t work and I don’t know how it does, but it does. If you try this and it works for you, please, please, please, let me know! I have told others about this and it has worked for them, so good luck and happy crunching!

It is like curing like. In the process of dealing with the acid of the pickle, the body also deals with the acid causing the heartburn.

A bedtime trick that also helps heartburn and let’s you toss and turn less from it is simply to roll onto your left side. I know it sounds easy, I read it in a magazine, but it positions your esophogus higher than your stomach, preventing any remaining food in your belly from pressing on the opening which causes acid reflux.

Does anyone know why women suffer more from this then men?

Did you know that one serving of citrus fruit a day can reduce the risk of esophageal cancer by 62%. meanwhile acid reflux sufferers tend to stay away from fruit with a high acidic concentration. This is great news for women with chronic acid reflux, which by the way is a condition proven to trigger this type of cancer. Citrus fruit helps because it contains phytochemicals d-limonene that prevents cancer cells from proliferating.
